ABOUT JULIE-ANNE
From OFSAA Champion to Canadian Olympian, Julie-Anne made her mark from a provincial to a national running scene. Staehli made her international track debut for Canada at the 2014 U23 NACAC Championships, where she won bronze in the 3000m Steeplechase. She qualified for 5 national teams during and became the first 5-Time All-Canadian in Queen’s University history. After a breakout 2020 season, Julie-Anne made the Canadian Olympic Team for the Tokyo 2020 Games, where she competed in the 5,000m.
In 2020, Staehli ran the second-fastest indoor 3,000m ever by a Canadian woman as she broke through the nine minute mark for the first time. She went on to lower her personal best to 8:43.55. Heading into the 2021 outdoor season, Staehli had only run sub 16 in the 5,000m. By the end of May, she set a personal best of 14:57.50, breaking 15 minutes for the first time.
